Abstract
500,609. Electric motor control systems. ARMSTRONG, J. J. V. (Viokers, Inc.) May 5, 1937, No. 33923/38. Divided out of 498,586 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 4, 1937. [Class 38 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In a system wherein two or more machines are interconnected so that the rotors tend to maintain themselves in corresponding positions, the machines are provided with single phase field windings A<4>, and interconnected polyphase armature windings 114, additional distributed windings B<4>, supplied with direct current, being provided on the component carrying the winding A<4>. The windings B4 increase the normal restoring torques which tend to bring the rotors into positional agreein ent.
