Abstract

500,450. Ambulance vehicles. MORRIS. COMMERCIAL CARS, Ltd., and EVANS, T. Nov. 20, 1937, No. 31963. [Class 108 (i)] A stretcher - supporting device for use in a vehicle comprises a frame 2 supported at the rear by angularly, movable arms 6 and slidably pivoted forward of these arms on rollers 5. The frame may thus be lowered into an inclined position for receiving the stretcher. The forward end of the frame 2 is guided by the part 22 beneath lugs 11a on brackets 11 fixed to the vehicle body. The arms 6 are hinged to brackets 9 on the set-down step 10 of the vehicle, and provided with locking means 18. The frame 2 is retained vertically by stops 16, Fig. 2, and laterally by flanges. 5a on the rollers 5.
