499,713. Supplying liquid fuel; filters. BOSCH GES., R. May 21, 1938, No. 15184. Convention date, May 22, 1937. [Class 7 (iii)] [Also in Group I] A filtering element b, having peripheral grooves, is inserted with slight clearance in a casing a located in a fuel supply pipe. The element has an enlarged head d into which a duct i opens centrally, and is engaged by a complementary surface on a nipple m screwed into a fuel injector. The fuel entering through a nipple n passes from longitudinal grooves f in the element through narrow passages left between the casing and the element to shorter grooves g connected to the duct i. In Fig. 3, one end of an angle casing p is secured to a cup-nut q by a wire ring t which is passed through an annular space formed between the groove and the cap-nut.
