Abstract
499,591. Transformers; inductances. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. July 21, 1937, Nos. 20149 and 20150. Convention dates, Sept. 7, 1936 and Oct. 2, 1936. [Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XL] In a wave filter for separating high-frequency signalling current from low-frequency power current, and for eliminating disturbances, in systems in which both currents are transmitted over the same conductors, the inductance coils 2, 3, 6, 7 and transformers, 4, 8, have outer shells q of high-frequency iron, are arranged in engagement with one another and are threaded on spindles 1, 5 joined by a frame 9 which also carries the condensers 10. The inductances, transformers and condensers are preferably arranged in a screening case 11. The upper coils 2, 3, 4 are connected with condensers 10 to form a low-pass filter, and the lower coils 6, 7, 8 are connected with other condensers 10 to form a high-pass filter as indicated in Fig. 3 (not shown). The coils have hollow cores r of high-frequency iron, and are separated by discs s of similar material. The casing 11 may contain a single filter 2, 3, 4, 10 instead of both low-pass and high-pass filters, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown).
