498,578. Delivering measured quantities. BOEHMER, J. M. March 8, 1938, No. 7203. [Class 102 (i)] Apparatus for dispensing mayonnaise &c. comprises a glass container 4, which is screwed into the enlarged end 3 of a cylinder or mounted on a baseplate 1. Mayonnaise is discharged from the cylinder 2 through a spout 6 by depressing a rod 17 carrying the bucket 23. The return stroke is effected by a spring 15. The bucket is provided with a valve 28, sliding on an extension of the rod 17 against the action of a spring 29. The stroke is limited by means of an adjustable arm 21 on the rod 17, which is adapted to engage one of several adjustable stops 19.
