Abstract
498,470. Loud-speakers. TELEFUN KEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE. July 5, 1937, No. 18620. Convention date, July 3, 1936. [Class 40 (iv)] Relates to an electrodynamic loud-speaker of the energized type employed in conjunction with a television receiver of the cathode-ray type and in which means are provided to prevent or reduce the stray magnetic field in the region of the magnet. As shown in Fig. 1 the field magnet is E- shaped and windings 12, 13 supplied with direct current are mounted on the outer limbs of the field magnet. In a modification, Fig. 2, the base 14a of the field-magnet is connected to the annular pole-piece (not shown) by a number of separate members 15, 16, 17, 18 each provided with a separate auxiliary winding. In a further modification, Fig. 3, having a pot-shaped magnet, auxiliary concentric windings 19, 20, are provided within and without the wall of the pot. Additional windings may be provided on the inside and outside of the base of the pot and are concentrically arranged with regard to the core carrying the energizing winding of the magnet, Fig. 4 (not shown).
