[Class 69 (i)] A drinking - fountain comprises a downwardlydirected nozzle 6 delivering a jet through an aperture 7 in a shield 8 which encloses it, so preventing contact of saliva or surplus water with the nozzle, or interference with it. As shown, the supply pipe and valve 2 may be enclosed in a chamber packed with granulated cork or other insulating-material to prevent damage by frost.
