Abstract
495,413. Valve amplifying circuits. BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., and COX, W. A. May 14, 1937, No. 13638. [Class 40 (v)] In a high-frequency amplifier comprising multi-electrode valves, feed-back between the anode and grid circuits is eliminated by applying the varying potentials on the auxiliary electrode of a valve through a condenser to the control grid of a preceding valve, or of another valve in pushpull. The signals from the oscillator 3 are amplified by the valve 1, the screen-grid of which is connected to hightension through a high-frequency choke 5 and to the control grid of the preceding valve 3 through an adjustable condenser 6. In Fig. 2 (not shown) two screen-grid valves are arranged in push-pull and the screen-grid of each valve is connected to high-tension through a highfrequency choke and to the control grid of the other valve through an adjustable condenser. The adjustable condensers may be ganged.
