Abstract

494,211. Centrifugal separators. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. Nov. 29, 1937, No. 32894. Convention date, Dec. 10, 1936. [Class 23] A paring or skimming device for a centrifugal separator has a tube 1 surrounding the feed nozzle 2, and communicating with a number of channels 3 extending spirally through the disc 5 to the orifices 4 which project into the rotating liquid in the bowl. The circumference of the body 5 is formed so that the orifices 4 project beyond the adjacent part of the circumference, and the channels 3 increase in cross-sectional area from the orifices to the axis in a similar manner to a diffusor.
