492,504. Stays for hinged doors. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd. Feb. 18, 1938, No. 5097. Convention date, July 6', 1937. [Class 65 (i)] A stay for a door &c. comprises a pair of bars 12, 18 which may be telescopically connected by pins 19 and slot 13 as shown in Fig. 2, or pivoted together as shown in Fig. 12. The upper bar 18 or 29 carries a pivoted star-wheel 16 which co-operates with a cam surface 21 .. 23 on the other bar, to maintain the stay in fixed position. Further relative movement between the bars turns the wheel to another position in which relative movement between the bars in the reverse direction is permitted to close the door.
