Abstract
Textile materials are sized with a composition comprising gelatine, a water-soluble synthetic resin, e.g. glycol or glycerol bori-borate or a polyvinyl alcohol resin, and a sulphonated oil, fat or higher fatty alcohol. The sulphonated alcohol may be in the form of a sodium, potassium or amine salt. An unsulphonated fat or mineral, animal or vegetable oil may be added.
