Abstract
489,877. Steam power plant. RUTHS INTERNATIONAL ACCUMULATORS, Ltd. April 2, 1937, No. 9420. Convention date, April 4, 1936. [Class 110 (iii)] Turbine plant comprises steam accumulators operating at pressures above 60 atmos. Steam generators 1, Fig. 3, supply steam to a turbine 2. The steam passes through a heater 4 in which steam is generated and delivered to a high-pressure accumulator 5. Steam taken from the accumulator passes through a pressurereducing valve 10 and a superheater 11 and mixes with the boiler steam in passing to the turbine. High-pressure generators 21, Fig. 4, deliver steam directly to three accumulators in series 25, 26, 27 and to a back-pressure turbine 23. Both discharge to a low-pressure steam line associated with low-pressure generators 22 and a condensing turbine 24.
