Abstract

486,708. Hinges for powder-boxes &c. COLIBRI LIGHTERS, Ltd. Aug. 31, 1937, No. 23850. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1936. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] The lid of a vanity case, powder-box, container for medicaments, &c. is raised by means of a finger piece 9 which engages a link 7 to which the lid 2 is pivoted its front corners carrying pins 3 which engage grooves 4 so that the top of the lid is always presented to the front. In closing, the end of piece 9 snaps over the edge 10 of the lid to form a fastening. Additional links may be used to connect the lid and container. The top of the lid may constitute a mirror, or may bear instructions or other matter for display.
