Abstract

485,957. Discharging bunkers &c. ; conveyer systems. BLEICHERT - TRANSPORTANLAGEN GES. May 27, 1937, No. 14766. Convention date, May 27, 1936. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv)] Bunkers, hoppers and like storage chambers are discharged in successive horizontal layers by a travelling bucket conveyer delivering to an endless belt conveyer arranged parallel to the track on which the bucket conveyor travels. In the form shown the bucket elevator a is carried on a bridge which travels along the bunker on the rails b and delivers to a small lateral conveyer d feeding the main delivery conveyer c which runs parallel to the movement of the bridge. Worms c draw material from the sides of the bunker into the path of the buckets of the elevator. In operation, the bridge is traversed from one end of the bunker to the other and the elevator then lowered to remove a further layer on the return journey, the to-and-fro movement being repeated until the bunker is emptied.
