[Class 36] Cable sheathings comprising a thin lead sheathing and an outer covering of rubber or of polyvinyl chloride, after-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride or polymerized acrylic ester, are manufactured by applying the outer covering immediately after the formation of the lead sheathing, before the cable is wound on a drum.
