Abstract

481,228. Locking nuts. SOC. DE BOULONNERIE ET DE MATRICAGE DE PRECISION. Feb. 23, 1937, No. 5451. Convention date, April 2, 1936. [Class 89 (i)] A resilient compensating member, interposed between the main nut and the work, is used in conjunction with the lock nut described in Specification 429,238. The compensating mem-. ber comprises a curved washer 1 having a central rigid part 4, a peripheral rigid part 5 and an intermediate elastic zone, the elasticity being imparted by the provision of perforations 2 or by providing a thin part in said zone. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the subject-matter of Specification 480,516, [Group XXIII], This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
