Abstract

480,378. Valve amplifying circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and FARREN, L. I. Oct. 26, 1936, No. 29051. [Class 40 (v)] A valve amplifier, whose input circuit is fed by an alternating current generator, has its internal impedance rendered constant over a wide band of frequencies by the provision of an impedance between the anode and grid having the same ratio to the impedance of the input generator as the ratio of the control grid to cathode capacity to the control grid to anode capacity. The Figure shows a triode amplifier in a case in which the impedance of the generator E is a pure resistance R1 so that the additional impedance is also a pure resistance R2. The generator may comprise a preceding amplifier stage. The amplifier may be used in a multiplex carrier transmission system. The Specification gives a mathematical analysis of the design of the amplifier. Specification 477,240 is referred to.
