[Classes 52 (iii) and 52 (v)] A drawing-board 1 is hinged at 3 to carrier members 4 slidably mounted for vertical adjustment on two upright guide bars 5 adapted to be suspended on a wall, a pair of angularly adjustable stays or struts 15 hinged to the drawing. board being hinged at their lower ends to a pair of slides 17 also adjustable on the guide bars 5 to give the desired inclination to the board, the board and struts being collapsable into a vertical plane. The guides 5 may be suspended from nails or as shown. hung by hooks 7 from the picture rail 8 and the board 1 has at each side of its upper edge upwardly directed extension lugs 2 hinged to blocks 4 having metal side plates 12 inturned to engage longitudinal grooves 11 in the guides. Hinged at 14 to the back of the board 1 near the lower end are the struts 15 hinged at 16 to blocks 17 also slidably mounted on the guides 5, and the blocks 4, 17 are adapted to be secured to the guides as by pegs 19 taking in holes in the guides or by a spring-pressed pawl engaging teeth on the guides or gripping the faces of the guides. To extend the board from the vertical position for use the blocks 4, 17 are raised or lowered along the guides ; when pawls are used the upper and lower blocks may be raised alternately by moving the lower part of the board to and fro.
