[Class 132 (iii)] A toy locomotive r runs on a track bounded by the edge b<1> of a hole in a plate a<1> and comprising straight sections b and curved sections z and is driven by being connected by the hook v to the slide u having slots t engaging with pins y on the arm w keyed on the hollow driving shaft o having a spur gear n engaging with one or other of the pinions k, l for rotation in one direction or the other according to the position of the handle i secured to the spring motor frame f having rivets g engaging in curved slots h of a plate d. A pawl 8 for arresting the spring motor is pivoted on the handle i and can engage a member 10 driven by the spring motor. The locomotive r has hooks 4 engaging the track edge b<1> and the slide u has pins 3, 2 engaging the track edge b<1> and the edge of a top plate 5 respectively, for guiding the locomotive around the track. The locomotive has a hook 6 engaging an eye 7 on a car s and on backward movement of the locomotive r by actuation of handle i the car s is pushed into one of the sidings c, the hook 6 and eye 7 becoming disengaged when the locomotive r travels round a curved section z. The hook 6 and eye 7 are again coupled when the locomotive is again caused to move forward.
