Abstract

478,667. Bottling-machines. BROADHURST, S. F., and ALBRO FILLERS & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. July 23, 1936, No. 20401. [Class 125 (ii)] In order to reduce the tendency to drip in the filling nozzles of a bottling-machine the tank 1 from which the liquid is supplied is subjected to continuous exhaustion through a pipe 28a. The upper portion of the tank is sealed in an airtight manner. The liquid is supplied to the tank through a pipe 16 having a float valve 18 at its lower end, which is connected to floats 20. The filling nozzle is opened by a rising bottle x, and air from the bottle escapes through a hollow rod 7 as the liquid fills the bottle.
