476,745. Lamp lenses and front-glasses. KELLY T. D. June 19, 1936, No 17087. [Class 75 (ii)] The lens or front-glass of a lamp is provided with a Fresnel lens 4, and over hal: of the lens or glass at the top is provided with a transparent filter 2 of yellow or other colour which eliminates the rays at the violet end of the spectrum whilst the remaining part 3 of the lens or glass of the lamp at the bottom is left clear, the filter being shaped to leave the Fresnel lens clear or to project over its upper part. The filter may be of waterproof and heat-proof material, e.g. flexible transparent phenol-resin or derivatives, alone or in one or more plys, and may be at the back of the glass or lens. '
