Abstract
476,355. Screwdrivers. CARRIER, G. L. Feb. 3, 1937, No. 3149. [Class 61 (iii)] A screw-holding screwdriver comprises a rod c, the end of which is adapted to engage the head or nick of the screw a and a thimble b provided with a pair of jaws to engage under the screw head, and having a screw threaded bore to engage a threaded part near the end of the' rod. In the modification, Fig. 6, the threaded part of the rod c engages a nut d slidably guided in a bore in the thimble b by a set screw e whereby after the screw has been started the point of the blade may be projected through the thimble jaws to complete the operation.
