Abstract

476,351. Screw-fastenings. WILMOTBREEDEN, Ltd., and SPICER, H. J. Sept. 30, 1936, No. 26506. [Class 44] A screw-fastening comprises a nut formed as an internally threaded boss b on an attachment plate a, the threads being interrupted by two or more longitudinal gaps c, and a screw d, with correspondingly interrupted threads e, rotatably anchored in an attachment plate g, by a ring j sprung into a groove in the screw. The head f is housed in a recess so as to be flush with the face of plate g and has a groove i to receive the edge of a coin or suitable operating tool. The screw is inserted to the required extent with the threads e registering with the gaps c, and is then secured by a partial turn, rotation of the screw being limited by a projection k engaging an arcuate recess l in the lower face of the head f.
