472,872. Heels and protectors therefor. BUDRODEEN, E. S. Dec. 9, 1936, No. 33751. [Classes 17 (ii) and 17 (iii)] A heel 11 or heel lift of resilient material has a cavity 12 with inwardly projecting walls adapted to be sprung over and engage an outwardly projecting flange 6 on a retaining member 5 secured to a shoe sole 9 or heel lift. One or more projecting studs 14 from the base of the cavity 12 contact with the centre portion of the retaining member 5 and support the base of the heel 11 or heel lift. The cavity 12 is preferably of greater depth than the retaining member 5 and the inner face 13 of the heel or heel lift may be inwardly bevelled, as shown, to assist in retaining the heel or lift in position.
