472,572. Turntables for vehicles &c. HENRY, C. A. Oct. 30, 1936, Nos. 29524 and 29525. Convention dates, Nov. 14, 1935 and June 22, 1936. [Class 104 (ii)] A turntable for vehicles, aeroplanes, &c. comprises an annular track 3, 4 on which runs an annular turntable which may comprise two tracks 5, 6 supporting the two ends of the vehicle and interconnected by moving platforms 16, 17, 18 at the same level. The inner area 7 is level with the turntable and the outer ground to permit free movement of vehicle across the turntable, and has a track 8 aligned with the rails on the trucks 5, 6 when a vehicle is entering the turntable. In another form for moving wharf cranes, the rails are arranged on two secants of the annnlus in line with the wharf rails, and in a variation of this form, rails for vehicles are also arranged on the turntable between the rails for the crane. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, a form of the invention is described in which the vehicles are carried round by two annular platforms moving synchronously, and another form, a single annular platform is arranged between an outer and inner series of hangers for aeroplanes. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
