[Classes 136 (i) and 136 (iii)] A cover or protector for cycle saddles, or saddle bags, or both, comprises a metal or other rigid slide or elongated loop adapted to be threaded on to the closing-flap of a saddle bag, and provided with one or more flexible covers adapted to be placed over either the saddle, or the bag, or both, as required. The cover comprises a metal slide or elongated loop 1 adapted to be threaded on to the closing-flap 2 of the saddle-bag 3 and to be secured in position by press-studs 1x or other fastenings. A flexible waterproof cover 4 is slidably mounted through the loop 1, so that it can be drawn over the saddle 5, Fig. 2, so as to cover it and the bag 3, the front end being provided, in a hem, with a wire 6 attached to elastic bands 7 with an end ring 8 and button 9, whereby it can be secured to the saddle peak. The rear end of the cover is stiffened by a wire 11 and is provided with an elastic band 10, which is passed around the lower part of the bag 3, Fig. 3, when the cover is drawn back to protect the top and rear of the bag. Alternatively, the cover 4 may be secured centrally to the loop 1, so that the two free ends can be passed one over the saddle and the other over the bag. In a further modification, two separate covers, one for the saddle and the other for the bag, are carried by the loop 1, which has a central longitudinal bar adapted to slide under the bag flap, the two side members of the loop sliding over the flap. The covers are secured one to each side member, around which the covers may be rolled.
