Abstract
470,984. Cutting and separating plastic explosives. FUERY, G. T. (Norsk Spraengstofindustrie Aktieselskapet) March 3, 1936, No. 6354. [Class 9 (ii)] [Also in Group V] Apparatus for the production of plastic explosive in rod or strip form wherein the mass 6 is rolled into a sheet and cut into strips comprises a continuously-moving conveyer 1 carrying the mass to a roller 7 having parallel, circular, rotary knives 8, two continuouslymoving conveyer belts 13, 14 extending in opposite directions from points adjacent the knives 8 and at a level above the conveyer 1, and auxiliary belts 15, 16 for separating and conducting alternate strips to the belts 13, 14. The auxiliary belts 15, 16 pass round the roller 7 between pairs of the knives 8 and around rollers 17, 18. The strips are cut into lengths by knife rollers 10.
