Abstract
463,759. Vehicle bodies. FITZMAURICE, D. F. H. July 2, 1935, No. 18871. [Class 108 (i)] In a tourer streamline vehicle in which the sides extend beyond the plane of the wheels, the rear seating well is adapted to be covered by a scuttle and a hinged cover, a hood being adapted to cover both front and rear wells when erected. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the rear seating well is covered in front by a scuttle h comprising two portions hinged together in the longitudinal medial section and adapted to be secured by latches l. The rear cover i is hinged about its rear transverse edge and is provided with a seat back. A windscreen k, adapted to fold down, is provided. In a modification, the scuttle is adapted to be hinged in two independent parts about its forward edge. The hood j, j<1> is adapted to fold down about the sides and rear of the cover i.
