Abstract

461,966. Valve circuits for wireless reception. BRITISH TUNGSRAM RADIO WORKS, Ltd., and REYNER, J. H. Aug. 22, 1935, No. 23578. [Class 40 (v)] A muting voltage is developed across the cathode resistance R3 of a L.F. amplifying valve Vl by including it in the anode circuit of an auxiliary valve V2, the current through which is reduced by signals of over a predetermined amplitude. The diode D, fed with H.F. signals through condenser C1, provides demodulated signals which are fed to the amplifier V1 through condenser C2 and a control bias which is fed through the filter R5, C4 to the grid of the muting valve V2. The range of control may be adjusted by varying the resistance R3 or the anode voltage of the valve V2 by moving the tapping on the voltage divider R6. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 436,856.
