459,817. Sifting-apparatus. SUMMERSON & SONS, Ltd., T., and TICEHURST, A. G., Albert Hill Foundry, York Street, Darlington, Co. Durham. Jan. 23, 1936, No. 2173. [Class 117] In rotary sifting drums of the type comprising two or more sections 3, 5 of graded mesh separated by an unperforated section 4, each sifting section is surrounded by an unperforated drum 9, 10 rotating therewith, and adapted to collect the sifted material and deliver it to containers 13, 14. The feed end and tail end of the drum are formed of unperforated sections 15, 6. The sifting drum may be cylindrical and rotate about an inclined shaft or conical and rotate about an horizontal shaft.
