Abstract

459,405. Cap twisting apparatus. COATES, S., Ryecroft, Wistons Lane, Elland, and HAIGH, H., Fern Bank, Greetland, both in Yorkshire. Dec. 7, 1935, No. 33946. [Class 120 (ii)] Caps are prevented from rotating on their spindles by means of springs D housed in one or more slots C in the spindle and adapted to engage a slot G in the cap. The slots in the spindle may be deep enough to house the springs so that, if the slots in the spindle and cap are not aligned when the cap is mounted, the spring is compressed in the slot C and engages the slot G when the cap turns sufficiently. The groove C may be undercut to accommodate the ends of the spring.
