Abstract
454,332. Nesting chairs. GLENISTER, W. G., 17, Clifton Park Road, Caversham, Reading. Sept. 17, 1935, No. 25729. [Class 52 (ii)] In a nesting chair in which the rear legs lie in vertical planes outside the side edges of the seat, and the front legs lie in vertical planes within the planes of the rear legs, and having a free opening bounded by the rear legs and the underside of the seat, the seat 1 has tapered side edges, the front being narrower than the back. The rear legs 5 are connected to the seat by providing lugs 2 on the latter which enter rebates cut in the legs and are secured by screws. The front legs 6 are secured to the seat by dowels 14 or otherwise, and are connected to the rear legs by side rails 11 morticed into the front faces of the rear legs and screwed to the outer side faces of the front legs. Specification 344,159 is referred to.
