454,145. Hasp fastenings. BAERFUSS, H. F., 64, Bõlliz, Thur, Switzerland. May 21, 1936, No. 14368. Convention date, May 21, 1935. [Class 44] The hinged hasp 1 of a fastening for a chest has a spring 4 secured to its under surface which presses the hasp outwards when its catch is released. The hasp has a stud 5 which engages between the legs of a wire spring 8 mounted between two plates 9, 10 on the box front, holes 11 being formed in the plates for the passage of the knob. A stop 16 keeps the legs of the spring 8 the required distance apart. The fastening is released by pressing together two tongues 13 on the springs, these tongues having eyes 15 for the passage of a sealing cord which is also passed through an eye on the hasp.
