Abstract
453,907. Wood-wool slabs. SINGER, A., 21, Turkenschanzstrasse, Vienna. July 18, 1935, No. 20533. [Class 87 (i)] Wood-wool slabs to be covered with wood veneer, sheet metal, asbestos-cement sheets, and other sheet materials consist of a main layer of coarse-fibred wood wool and a binder such as cement, and a layer on one or both sides of fine-fibred wood wadding and a binder forming a fine-pored surface to which the covering sheets may be secured by an adhesive. The slabs may be tongued and grooved or otherwise treated with wood-working tools, and may be formed by placing the plastic layers in sequence in a mould and pressing, or by the use of a rolling mill.
