Abstract

[Class 38 (i)] A multi-way switch 6 for controlling a a multiple element heater to produce various degrees of heat is provided with an additional contact and with a pair of sockets 8, one connected to the " low heating " contact and the other to the additional contact so that a resistance 9 plugged into the sockets can be put in series with the " low heating " circuit to reduce the heating further. The sockets 8 which are split longitudinally and transversely have feet 7 bent to fit on the switch base and to carry terminals 4, 5 for external connections.
