Abstract

453,308. Detachable heel pads. BUTLER, W. H., and COOPER, D. S., 23, Clements Road, Ilford, Essex. Aug. 28, 1935, No. 24012. [Class 17 (iii)] Two outwardly and upwardly projecting ends of a spring metal member H which is embedded at its central portion during moulding in a detachable heel pad G, are engaged, in order to secure the heel pad to the shoe, in a pair of obliquely inclined slots B in a metal plate A permanently secured, in a manner to prevent its rotation, to the shoe heel. The downturned ends F of the member H engage in recesses adjacent the slots B. The embedded portion of the member H is formed with loops which extend further towards the periphery of the pad than the position where the tongue portions emerge from the pad.
