Abstract
452,758. Detachable heel treads for boots and shoes. WINTERSGILL, H. A., 24, Meadow Way, Upminster, Essex. Feb. 15, 1936, Nos. 4659 and 4660. [Class 17 (iii)] Two plates j, h, Fig. 4, are secured in superposed relation to the underside of a detachable heel tread g, one, h, corresponding in shape and size to a recess formed in a plate d, Fig 2, secured to the lower face of the heel a and the other, j, which is above it, extending forwards beyond the breast face and engaging in an aperture or slot f, Fig. 3, in a plate e attached to the lower face of the heel, or formed, as shown in Fig. 2, by attaching a plate above a recess cut in the lower face of the heel. After the tread g has been located in correct position on the heel, the forwardly projecting. end of the plate is turned up against the breast face of the heel or into a recess c, Fig. 2, cut therein.
