Convention date, Nov. 30, 1934. [Class 23] A submerged centrifugal screen B for wood pulp, cellulose &c. has a rotary impeller C extending axially through the screen which is enclosed in a casing A having one or more overflow weirs D for the strained stuff above the top of the screen. As shown there is an oblong overflow aperture F with two adjustable weir flaps D and an encircling trough a<5>, from which the stuff passes to a discharge channel a<1>. The flaps may be adjustable from outside the casing.
