Abstract
451,139. Staples. MANN, W., 174, Huddersfield Road, Newhey, MANN, P., 29, Brunswick Street, Shaw, and MANN, H., Sunnybank, Shaw Road, Newhey, both in Lancashire. May 22, 1935, No. 14901. [Class 89 (ii)] [See also Group XVII] In a packing-case or the like, adjacent boards of a wall, lid or base are inter connected by metallic clips, each compris ing a pair of imper forate limbs extend ing from a yoke or web portion, the web of each clip extending across the adjacent edges of the boards along one face there of and the limbs passing through the boards and being clinched over in a direction towards each other on the opposite face of the boards. Fig. 3 shows such a clip 14, 15 connecting the boards 13, and Fig. 5 shows a form of sheet metal clip having a bifurcated limb 19 and a complementary limb 20. Battens 17 may be applied to shroud the rows of clips.
