Abstract
449,656. Receptacles for cooling. HECHT & CO., Ltd., L., 16, Fore Street, London. Sept. 20, 1935, Nos. 26149 and 26150. Convention dates, Sept. 20, 1934 and April 5, 1935. [Class 29] [Sec also Group XVII] The capacity of a portable refrigerator having a refrigerant container and double or multiple slides of fabric, paper, leather, &c. is adjustable to the volume of the goods to be carried. The refrigerator may be in the form of a bag having sides formed of triple sheets of parchment separated by sheets of absorbent paper, the inner and outer sheets of the bag being provided with air apertures d. The bag, which may be formed with inspection apertures, contains a removable ice container b of stiff waterproof paper having recesses c in its cover for goods containers. The mouth of the bag is adapted to be folded over and secured by a slip forming a handle. The bag may, however, be carried in a net. Further, it may be provided with partitions saturated with a disinfectant, e.g. a salicylic solution. The refrigerator may consist of paper bags separated by slagwool &c. and have wire clips for the attachment of a metal freezing- mixture container b<1>, Fig. 7. In a further modification, the refrigerator consists of a case with a bellows-like upper part f, Fig. 8, having elastic cords k secured to the rigid lower part containing the ice container, which is removable through an aperture in the refrigerator closed by a plug h.
