447,384. Wearing-apparel. STEINER, M., 6, Stiflgasse, Vienna, Jan. 30, 1936, No. 2855. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1935. [Class 141] A shirt has overlapping front members 2, 2<1>, Fig. 2, which may remain closed as in Fig. 1 or be worn open. To give the impression of a jacket or sports shirt, the lapels when closed increasingly overlap till they reach underneath the collar where they can be buttoned. The lapels can be buttoned at 6. Pairs of buttons 8, 8<1> Fig. 3, and buttonholes 9, 91 on the lapel 2 are arranged so that the collar can be made smaller or larger. Buttons 6 can also be arranged in pairs or the buttons could be made invisible by being sewn on the inner face 10 of the lapel 2. The lower edge of the collar 12 is curved,. Fig. 4, for attachment to the shirt. Detachable collars may however be used. The front of the shirt may be cut out of one piece but it entails a certain waste of material which may be avoided by using two parts.
