446,122. Platform weighing-machines; weighbridges. AVERY, Ltd., W. & T., and SYKES, C. M., Soho Foundry, Birmingham. Jan. 23, 1935, No. 2176. [Class 143] Platform weighing- machines or weighbridges are provided with a resilient strip 5, or strips, overlapping the marginal edges of the platform or weighbridge 6 and the surrounding frame 4, with the object of obviating oscillation of the platform or weighbridge during entry of the load with consequential wear of the knife-edges and bearings, and of preventing the ingress of water and dirt between the platform or weighbridge and the frame. The strip 5 may consist of rubber clamped or bolted in position, or retained as shown in Fig. 3, by a depending portion 5a.
