[Class 141] A sock or stocking is provided at the upper part of the toe with an elastic band or section A of substantially uniform width. Similar bands may be provided at the back of the heel and /or underneath the foot towards the toe end. The sections may be formed during weaving by replacing the ground thread by elastic thread or they may be sewn in afterwards. According to the Provisional Specification, the sock or stocking may be provided with any of the elastic sections.
