[Class 80 (i)] [See also Group IX] Friction gearing for spinning and doubling spindles comprises discs 3 of elastic material supported between rings 12 on a shaft 4, which is movable longitudinally to such an extent that each disc may engage the next adjacent spindle and reverse the direction of rotation. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also discs provided with elastic lagging on the rim, and discs slidably mounted on the driving-shaft between springs 14, Fig. 5 (Cancelled), confined by fixed abutments 15. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
