440,694. Cutting webs of paper. FROMAGERIE LE CASTEL SOC. ANON., 29, Rue Peillonnex, ChÛne-Bourg, near Geneva, Switzerland. March 19, 1935, No. 8597. Convention date, March 19, 1934. [Class 31 (i)] A web f held to a roller a by suction and fed thereby is severed into lengths by a knife i which is mounted on a roller b and enters a slot m in the roller a without touching it. A spring-pressed plunger p which slides in the slot m and ejects the severed ends of the web, is pressed inwards prior to the severing by cam members s on the roller b. The knife i has a toothed edge and is clamped in a slot h by bolts k, nuts and a clamp plate j.
