Abstract

440,621. Saggers and pottery supports. MOORE, B. J., Parkfield House, Princes Road, Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent. July 30, 1935, No. 21567. Addition to 433,473, [Group XII]. [Class 87 (i)] [See also Group XII] In a kiln truck according to the parent Specification, the uprights 11 are connected longitudinally and transversely by tie members 15, 18 which are detachably secured, as by dovetail joints, to the sleeves 12 surrounding the uprights 11. The transverse tie members 18 are preferably of elongated form in vertical cross-section and may have secured thereto, either detachably or permanently, thimbles 21, Fig. 4, for supporting plates, dishes, or the like. The tie members are formed of refractory material, such as fireclay, reinforced, if desired, in the manner described in Specification 433,497, [Group XII].
