[Class 36] In the manufacture of multi-conductor cable having stranded cores of non-circular crosssection provided individually with a lead or like sheath, each non-circular bare conductor is pre-spiralled and, after insulation, is provided with a close fitting non-circular extruded sheath, so that when the cores thus formed are stranded together into a cable the sheaths are not subjected to torsion.
