Abstract

439,908. Gear pumps. BROWN & SONS (HUDDERSFIELD), Ltd., D., and MERRITT, H. E., Park Gear Works, Lockwood, Huddersfield. Sept. 28, 1934, No. 27794. [Class 110 (ii)] The shape of each tooth in a gear wheel pump rotor is such that the main outline a is involute in form, and the part b is a circular curve or built up of circular curves, and may be part of an ellipse. The curve b may be struck on a radius whose centre is on the pitch point. Spur or helical pump gears may be shaped as above.
