Abstract

439,609. Wagon and like covers ; tents. BUSHELL, A., 8, Summerstown, Lower Tooting, London. April 2, 1935, No. 10195. [Class 103 (ii)] [See also Group X] A cover for vehicles such as vans or boats but applicable for use as a tent or the like comprises vertical members rotatably supported in bearings, the members being formed with horizontal portions whereby the top of the cover may be moved to the side by rotation of the supporting members in the bearings. At each side of the van &c. a series of hoopsticks 5 are arranged the vertical limbs 6 of which are rotatably mounted in bearings 3, 4. The extremities of the horizontal portions 7 of the hoopsticks are pivotally interconnected at each side by rods 12, the adjacent rods 12 being provided with locking means to retain them together. The cover 8 comprises two side portions secured to the hoopsticks.
