[Class 84] A releaser for milking-machines comprises a chamber 1 for constant pressure and a chamber 11 on a lower level for pulsating vacuum and atmospheric pressure, a valve having a liquid seal for preventing air flowing from one chamber to the other being provided between the chambers and opening into the lower chamber 11. In one form, the chamber 1, Fig. 1, has a vacuum connection 3 and a milk connection 2, and the chamber 11 a connection 13 for pulsating vacuum and atmospheric pressure. The valve consists of a disc 6 which makes a joint against a rubber seat 7 and has a flange 8 extending down into an annular pocket 9 forming the liquid seal. A rubber, celluloid, &c. float 10 closes vacuum connection 3 when chamber 1 is filled with milk. The chamber 11 has at its lower end a flap valve 14 enclosed in a housing 15 ending in a spout. Chamber 11 and housing 15 are connected to chamber 1 by detachable clamps 16. In a modification, Fig. 2, chamber 1 ends in a tube 17 opening into a bowl 18. A horizontal wall 20 extends between the tube 17 and the bowl 18 and has apertures 21 which are covered by an annulus 22 forming a valve member the upper movement of which is limited by a shoulder 23.
